What are Fractional FD services?
We used to be called Portfolio or part-time Finance Directors, but this has changed over the last few years to give a better understanding of the role.
A fractional FD performs the same duties as a full time FD does, just for a portion of the hours, so it is a perfect stepping stone for companies that need the expertise of an experienced CFO without the cost.
I tailor services to company requirements, but this often includes attendance at board or management meetings, production / supervision and review of monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance and links to operational / sales and marketing performance, strategy setting, business planning and budgeting.
Developing financial forecasts, budgets, and models to guide business decisions
Monitoring and managing the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability
Assisting in the development and execution of long-term strategic plans
Preparing and presenting financial reports to the board and stakeholders
Identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
Evaluating investment opportunities and making recommendations
Implementing cost reduction strategies and improving operational efficiency
Ensuring the company complies with financial regulations and governance standards
